Persian New Year, or Nowruz 🌻❤️

Persian New Year, or Nowruz 🌻❤️

Novruz means ‘New Day’.The first day of the Iranian calendar falls on the March equinox, the first day of spring, around 21 March.

Every year, millions celebrate Persian New Year, or Nowruz (prounced “no-rooz”). In Iran, the new year begins with the advent of spring, and most everyone in the country — not to mention the millions of Iranians and non-Iranians who celebrate the holiday elsewhere around the world — observe it by doing a deep clean of their homes, celebrating a season of new life, and wishing for good luck in the year ahead.

Nowruz share many similarities with other spring festivals such as Easter, celebrated by Christians, and the Egyptian holiday called Sham Al-Naseem, which dates back to the time of the Pharaohs.

“New-day”, has been celebrated in Iran for over two thousand years by all the people regardless of ethnicity, religion, or language.

This year, Nowruz falls much earlier than in recent years -on Thursday, March 19, 2020.

سال جدید را به همه عزیزان تبریک می گویم .🌻❤️
