My Story, My Belief
My Story, my Belief
I escaped my country of Iran to Turkey. From there I came to Canada, which I have lived for more than two decades. I have lived in the most southern part of Canada to the Arctic.
When I share my story with people about the crisis that made me leave the country, and how I adjusted myself to a new place, People right away ask: “Are you not homesick”? Or “Where is your home right now“?
My reply always was, “I believe that wherever I am, I am home”.
I married a Canadian so I adapted and my wife has also adapted to the mix of cultures. We have melded a family and cultures to make our life in our home.
